In June 2022, after three years of reorganisation and amalgamations, The Mauritius Chemical and Fertilizer Industry Limited became MCFI Limited and adopted the brand name Ingenia.

MCFI is an international Mauritian Group, listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius since 1989.

Antoine L. Harel,
Chairman (Non-Executive)

Antoine L. Harel is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Computing. He joined Harel Mallac & Co. Ltd in 1987. He was appointed Group CEO in 1997 and has been Chairman of its Board since April 2005. He was President of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 1992/1993. Antoine L. Harel has been sitting on the Board of Directors of MCFI Limited since 2001 and is the Chairman since 1 September 2007.Other Directorships (listed companies): Harel Mallac & Co. Ltd (Chairman) and Les Gaz Industriels Ltd (Chairman).

Allain Doger de Speville,
Independent Director

Allain Doger de Spéville is a Notary Public and was first appointed to the Board of Directors of MCFI Limited in July 2006.Other Directorships (listed companies): The Mauritius Oil Refineries Ltd (Chairman).

Yannis Fayd’herbe de Maudave,
Executive Director

Yannis Fayd’herbe de Maudave has a Degree with Majors in Economics and Industrial Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Organisation and Management from the University of Cape Town and is an Alumnus of the ESSEC General Management Programme. Between 1999 and 2019, he held various positions in the textile industry, first in sales and marketing, then as CEO of N. Belstedt & Co. Pty Ltd. (South Africa), Managing Director of Kasa Textile & Co. Ltd. (2012-2017) and of Labelling Industries Ltd., Berque Ltee, Narrow Fabrics Ltd. in Mauritius and of Labeltex Sarl and LabelMada Ltee in Madagascar (2013-2019). Yannis Fayd’herbe de Maudave joined the Company in June 2019. He was first appointed to the Board of Directors of MCFI Limited in March 2020.

Charles Harel,
Non-Executive Director

Charles Harel holds a National Diploma in Management and Finance from the Cape Technikon, South Africa, as well as an MBA from the University of Birmingham, UK. He joined the Harel Mallac Group in 1993. He has, over the years held various positions across the Group before being nominated as the CEO of the Harel Mallac Group from 1 January 2014. He was first appointed to the Board of Directors in June 2006.

Guy Harel,
Independent Director

Guy Harel joined the Harel Mallac Group in 1981 as Managing Director of Fapcom Ltd. In 1983, he created Henkel Chemicals (Mauritius) Limited and took over as Managing Director in 1996. Following the acquisition of the company in 2007 by Harel Mallac, he became the Managing Director of Archemics Ltd and held that position until 31 December 2012. He was first appointed to the Board of MCFI Limited in May 2013.

Vincent Labat,
Independent Director

Vincent Labat graduated as a Chemical Engineer. From 1996 to 2009, he was the Managing Director of Les Gaz Industriels Ltd., a listed company. In 2010, he joined Medine Ltd as Project Development Executive. In July the following year, he was appointed Managing Director of the Agriculture Cluster, until end 2018. In 2019, he was appointed as General Manager of the Mauritian Commodities and Applied Solutions Services. He was first appointed to the Board of Directors of MCFI Limited in October 2006.

Harold Ng Kwing King,
Independent Director

Harold Ng Kwing King holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds. He joined MCFI Limited in 1974 and has held various positions as Shift Engineer, Production Manager, Plant Manager, Deputy General Manager and Managing Director before retiring in 2012. He was also Managing Director of the following Harel Mallac Group subsidiaries: Chemco Limited, Bychemex Limited, Coolkote Enterprises Ltd, Harel Mallac Export Ltd, MCFI International (Zambia) Ltd and Harel Mallac (Tanzania) Ltd. He is presently a management and trade consultant in Hariseng Ltd. He was first appointed to the Board of MCFI Limited in December 2003.

Christine Nguyen Thac Lam,
Non-Executive Director

Christine Nguyen Thac Lam graduated from French business school H.E.C. (Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris), and holds a Masters from the Community of European Management Schools. She worked for more than 20 years with multinational corporations such as Exxon Mobile, Procter & Gamble and Rio Tinto Alcan, leading business and finance controlling. From 2014 to 2017, she served as General Manager Finance of the cluster Food & Beverages of the Currimjee Group in Mauritius. Christine Nguyen Thac joined the Harel Mallac Group in 2017 as COO of the Equipment and Systems Division, and was appointed Group Head of Finance in January 2020. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of MCFI Limited in June 2020.

Patrick Rivalland,
Independent Director

Patrick Rivalland is a Fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He worked successively for BDO & Co. and The Sugar Industry Pension Fund Board before joining Phoenix Beverages Limited (“PBL”) in 1999 as Finance & Administrative Manager. He currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer of PBL Group. He was first appointed to the Board of MCFI Limited on 25 June 2019.
